From 04. to 15. Sep. 2000 the informatica feminale took place
for the third time. At the University of Bremen met more than 230 women from
science, trade and industry as well as universities.
As a memento of it for the participants and as a foretaste of the next time
I have put together
lectures
and photos.
Bremen, nine o'clock. Tea is drawing. On my desk the documents,
cough sweet and yesterday's daily newspaper. At the board the lecturer wants to
give us the impression that she's awake. Next to me lies the notepad for ideas.
Ideas for the daily newspaper. Ideas...?
What on earth am I supposed to write? 'It was raining a little in the morning.'
Oh no. Goodness, no! Nothing about weather! Old journalists' wisdom.
What else then? The series of lectures held by various speakers?
Unfortunately I wasn't there yesterday...
Where is the text Zina has written? Which survey is really funny?
Why did I volunteer for today's issue?
After lunch: Industrious typing in the computer pool. Towards a quarter to four p.m.
the surprise: Three quarters of the issue Ausgabe are filled yet.
Voice from the Off: "Great, that's looking good already, doesn't it?"
Well, only the graph is missing. How does it work? StarOffice crashs again.
It doesn't matter, it'll be allright. The graph is finished five minutes later,
mirror finished and three-dimensional. Paste, lay out, edit and print.
One goes and stands next to the printer: "Nothing appears,
here comes out pages and pages, but not the daily newspaper."
Shortly after to or three young, gifted and involved, a bit sweaty women
from the photocopiers in the library and position themselves at the entrance
to the auditorium building.
And again a day full of chaos at a wonderful daily newspaper comes to an end.
